KATOR develops new suture anchor technology
LOGAN, Utah — A local start-up medical device company called KATOR, which focuses on advanced tissue-to-bone reattachment systems, has recently developed a new suture anchor that should greatly assist the healing process and make for a quicker recovery from injuries requiring suture.
The new suture anchor device locks different pieces of the suture to different pieces of the anchor and removes the need for invasive knot tying. This platform technology allows for much stronger surgical repair constructs than other currently available suture anchors, letting surgeons achieve stronger tissue-to-bone repairs while using fewer suture anchors. This is a great invention for the medical field.
