Startup Park City opens to help entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground
PARK CITY, Utah — Eager to help new entrepreneurs, local businessmen Curtis Holder and Ted Diven have opened Startup Park City, a non-profit dedicated to their goal of providing young businesses with a network of resources and advice to aid in navigating the sometimes confusing world of startups.
The organization has already started helping local business and has gathered a group of advisers with knowledge about and expertise in the business world. Monthly meetings are held to allow startups both to share advice with each other and to learn from experienced mentors.
Problems startups frequently have include finding, financing, and figuring out distribution and inventory as well as understanding how their products can find a spot in the marketplace. Oftentimes, early-stage business owners are experts in the products or services they’ve invented but they don’t really know or understand how to be successful entrepreneurs. However, instead of struggling through the difficulty on their own, entrepreneurs can now get in touch with Startup Park City, where founders Diven and Holder, plus all the advisors they’ve gathered, are eager to assist.
